my name is emily montalvo diaz.
Growing up, I always wondered what it would be like to work as a professional 'creative'. It was my dream (and still is) to be someone who created stunning, unique, and fun visuals for my favorite bands, cartoon studios, and even restaurants.
Graphic design is everywhere, and it's that fact that which I was drawn to the most. I was intrigued by the idea of having my work be displayed anywhere and everywhere I go. Whether or not someone knew it, it excites me to know that I've left my mark in my unique way in someone's everyday life.
As a daughter of two Mexican immigrants, I hope to inspire those who look like me and grew up in a beautiful culture like mine to pursue a career in Graphic Design (or other Visual Arts). There are so few of us, but I know that we can thrive wherever we put our minds to it.
